AI tools in AddSync AI: four buttons your AI can press
Your AI does not get your whole mailbox. It gets a short list of tools, and you decide who may use them.
Search, show, save a draft and propose. That is all. It has no button to send, delete or move mail, so a wrong guess cannot do damage you did not approve.
The four tools
Each tool does one thing. Together they cover most questions your people ask about mail and calendar.
Search
Finds mail and meetings by words, people and dates. It returns a short list, not your whole mailbox.
Show
Opens one message or one meeting so the AI can read it and answer. It reads it for that answer and does not store it.
Save a draft
Writes a reply and saves it as a draft in your own mailbox. It waits there until you read it and press Send yourself.
Propose
Suggests a reply or a free time for a meeting. A proposal changes nothing until you approve it.
The tools that are not there
Send, delete and move do not exist for your AI.
This is a choice, not a missing feature. When the AI cannot send, a misread question cannot go out to a client. When it cannot delete or move mail, it cannot lose anything for you.
The result: your people can ask freely, and you do not need to read every answer in fear. They press Send themselves when a draft is right.
The same rules for every tool
Before any tool runs, AddSync checks your rules. After it runs, the journal records it.
Who may use it
You switch AI on person by person or by group, and you set how many mails one question may read.

The tools work with the AI you choose
The same four tools are available in Claude, in ChatGPT and in the chat inside AddSync. AddSync connects them through the MCP standard, so you are not tied to one assistant.
They work with Exchange Server, Microsoft 365, Gmail, HCL Domino and Outlook.com. Pick your system: Exchange Server, Microsoft 365, Gmail, HCL Domino.
Questions about the tools
Can the AI send an email for me?
No. It can save a draft. You open it, read it and press Send yourself.
Can the AI delete or move my mail?
No. Those tools do not exist in AddSync AI.
Does the AI keep a copy of what it reads?
No. It reads a message to answer your question and does not store it. The journal keeps who asked, when and which button, without the text.
Can I switch a tool off?
You switch AI off for one person, for a group or for everyone. You close folders and senders with the data filter.
